This is a chance to provide essential care to an Indigenous community, build real connections, and experience a side of Australia many never see – all while earning $2,200 per day plus GST.

The Position
You will be based at Julanimawu Health Centre, where you will work alongside a dedicated team including Primary Health Care Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, and a Darwin-based DMO service who provide additional support.
This role focuses solely on primary care, with:
Monday to Friday hours
No weekend, public holiday or emergency cover required
A focus on continuity of care and relationship-based medicine
This is a role where you can take your time with patients, understand the community’s unique needs, and provide care that makes a lasting difference.

24 March to 17 April 2025
12 May to 30 May 2025
To support continuity of care, doctors must be available for the full block of their chosen placement.

How to Get There
The Tiwi Islands are located just 70 kilometres north of Darwin. Prescript will arrange your travel either via a 20-minute light aircraft flight or a 2.5-hour ferry crossing.
What We Require From You
AHPRA Specialist Registration
Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM
Recent experience working in Indigenous health (within the last two years)
Current certification in ALS, ALS2, APLS or REST
Prescript’s credentialing team will guide you through any additional requirements, making the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.
