Breast & General Radiologist Locums | $4,000/Day | Launceston, Tasmania

Introduction

Are you a radiologist with experience in breast reporting and procedures?

We’re currently recruiting for flexible locum blocks at a well-supported private hospital in Launceston, Tasmania - offering $4,000/day and options from one week to several months. We’re also partnering with other health services across Australia with similar needs, so please reach out if you’re available in the months ahead.

The Position

We’re looking for radiologists who specialise in breast imaging or have strong breast reporting and procedural experience alongside general radiology.

You’ll be based in a modern, well-equipped private hospital in the heart of Launceston - known for its welcoming team, efficient systems, and excellent support. The scope includes mammography, FNA and biopsies, with a maximum of three procedures per day unless you choose to take on more.

This is a highly flexible role with the option to cover one or more week blocks - or commit to a longer-term placement of up to five months.

Dates Available

We have locum availability every week from late July 2025 through to early January 2026.

Pick the week or block of weeks that works for you – whether you’re after a short stint or a longer-term placement, we’ll tailor the arrangement around your availability. There’s no requirement to work public holidays (e.g. King’s Birthday on 6 October, Christmas and New Year weeks), and we’ll organise everything to make it as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

While all weeks are available, we have a special need for radiologists during the following priority periods:

  • Monday 29 September to Friday 3 October 2025
  • Tuesday 7 October to Friday 10 October 2025 (after the King’s Birthday public holiday on Monday 6 Oct)

If you're available for either of those windows, we’d love to hear from you.

Benefits Provided

  • $4,000/day locum rate
  • Return economy airfares from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand
  • Hire car and quality, self-contained accommodation tailored to your needs
  • Dedicated support from Prescript’s expert team - we’ll handle everything from credentialing to travel and logistics

This is a genuinely warm, professional team where you’ll be well looked after. Bring your partner or family and make the most of everything Launceston has to offer while you locum.

What We Require From You

  • FRANZCR
  • AHPRA registration (or eligibility - we can assist NZ-based doctors to secure this)
  • Breast radiology experience including mammography, FNA and biopsies
  • Friendly, team-oriented approach

Coastal Locum Radiology Role in Noosa – $3,500/day + Flexibility

Introduction

We’ve just had new locum dates confirmed in Noosa and nearby locations. Could this be the perfect spot to spend a week or two in the sun? If you’re also open to longer-term locums or even a more permanent move, now’s the time to get in touch.

The Position

You’ll be working with a radiologist-owned group of high-quality private practices across Noosa and the surrounding region. With expansion underway, they’re looking to welcome locum radiologists – and they’re very open to longer-term arrangements if that’s something you’re considering.

The team offers a mix of general reporting and Tier A procedures across a range of modalities – including MRI and PET/nuclear medicine. There’s flexibility to tailor your locum to the work you enjoy most.

This is a Monday to Friday role (8:30am – 5:00pm) with no overtime or weekends, giving you plenty of time to unwind and explore the Sunshine Coast.

Dates Available

August through to December 2025 – week blocks available

Let us know what dates you’re considering – we’ll make it work.

Benefits Provided

  • $3,500 per day
  • Return economy flights from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand
  • Self-contained accommodation – in Noosa, by the beach, or in the peaceful hinterland
  • Hire car provided with full fuel reimbursement
  • End-to-end support from Prescript’s credentialing and logistics team

Why this one’s worth a closer look

The location speaks for itself – Noosa is one of Australia’s most loved coastal towns, with a relaxed pace and great lifestyle. But what makes this opportunity special is the practice itself: radiologist-owned, quality-focused, and growing.

It’s a chance to combine excellent work with a pretty ideal way of life – even if it’s just for a week or two.

What We Need From You

We’re looking for radiologists who are confident in general reporting and comfortable working in private practice settings. If you also have experience with Tier A interventional procedures, or an interest in MRI and PET/nuclear medicine, that’s an added bonus – but not essential. With multiple sites and a broad case mix, the practice can tailor your locum around the modalities you enjoy most.

  • Fellowship of RANZCR
  • AHPRA Specialist Registration
  • Availability for any week(s) between August and December 2025
  • A flexible, collaborative approach and a commitment to high-quality care

Whether you’re after variety, a break from the usual, or considering a sea-change – this could be just the role for you.
