This is more than just a locum role—it’s a chance to provide essential care to a regional community that truly values your expertise. As a Rural Generalist in Scottsdale and Bridport, Tasmania, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring continued healthcare access while enjoying a stunning coastal setting.
The Position
Bridport Clinic: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
Scottsdale Clinic: Wednesdays and Fridays (includes an evening clinic from 12 pm – 8 pm)
On-Call: 24-hour shifts as rostered (VMO duties)
Nursing Home Rounds: One morning per week
Medical Education: Provide supervision and mentorship to interns, RMOs, and medical students
Where Are Scottsdale & Bridport?
Scottsdale and Bridport are located in Tasmania’s stunning northeast, offering a mix of rolling countryside, beautiful coastline, and a relaxed lifestyle.
From Launceston: A scenic 1-hour drive (65 km) via the Tasman Highway.
From Hobart: A 3-hour drive (225 km) through picturesque landscapes.
From Melbourne: A direct flight to Launceston (1 hr 15 min), followed by a short drive.

What We Require From You
Fellowship with RACGP (FRACGP) or ACRRM
Advanced Life Support Level 2 (ALS2) preferred
Experience in emergency medicine and rural general practice
