You’ll be working from the Alyangula Health Clinic, servicing multiple communities across Groote Eylandt. Your scope will be broad — encompassing emergency medicine, chronic disease management, and general practice — all within a tight-knit, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering essential care in an isolated setting.

The Role

  • Rural Generalist scope across primary care, ED presentations, and community health
  • Work alongside Remote Area Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, and support staff
  • Diverse patient base with a strong emphasis on Indigenous health

We are seeking availability for blocks of 2–3 weeks or more within the period:

  • Non-clinical, strategic DMS role

  • 1–2 days per fortnight over 6 months

  • Charleville, QLD ASAP – 30th September 2025 (with possible extension); Full time

Some basic interventional work may be included within your comfort zone. With modern medical spaces, on-site multidisciplinary teams, and a strong focus on stability, rehabilitation and preventative health, these roles offer meaningful, well-supported clinical work — ideal for GPs looking to diversify their experience or balance part-time locum work with other commitments.

The Position

We’re looking for experienced GPs to deliver primary care across a network of correctional health facilities in Victoria — including newly opened sites and well-established centres in both metropolitan Melbourne and regional hubs.

You’ll be working within collaborative clinical teams, alongside nursing, mental health and allied health professionals. Each facility offers a defined scope of practice, comprehensive support, and a commitment to continuity of care for an adult patient population.

No prior experience in correctional health is required — just solid clinical confidence, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in structured care settings.

Dates Available

We have ongoing and immediate availability at both metro and regional facilities throughout June, July and August 2025.

  • Brand-new, state-of-the-art facility just outside Geelong now onboarding its first patient cohort — daily shifts across mornings and afternoons, 7 days a week.

  • Metropolitan sites in Melbourne’s inner-west and western suburbs with regular weekday availability.

  • Regional sites across western and central Victoria — with multiple-day blocks, Monday to Friday. Travel support is available for doctors based in Melbourne.

Tell us your availability, and we’ll offer shifts that fit your preferences — whether it’s one day a week, a fortnightly block, or something more regular.

Benefits Provided

  • $150/hr standard rate (Medical Officer)

  • $180/hr for Senior Medical Officers (OSTP approved)

Deputy EDMS - Tasmania - Permanent Leadership Role

This is an opportunity to lead with impact—while living in one of Australia’s most liveable regions.

Launceston General Hospital (LGH), Northern Tasmania’s major referral and teaching hospital, is seeking a senior medical leader to join its executive team as Deputy Executive Director of Medical Services (Deputy EDMS). With over 450 beds and a wide-reaching regional footprint, LGH plays a vital role in the health of communities across Tasmania’s North and North-West.

This is a permanent leadership position ideal for a doctor with a strong grounding in clinical governance, medical administration, and a passion for driving change from the inside. You'll work alongside an engaged executive team, enjoy access to research and academic affiliations, and be supported to grow your leadership career while delivering meaningful results for the system and community.

The Position

As Deputy EDMS, you'll play a critical role in shaping the medical workforce and ensuring high clinical standards across the region. You will:

  • Support the Executive Director of Medical Services in delivering strategic and operational leadership across LGH

  • Oversee medical workforce planning, junior doctor recruitment, and credentialing

  • Partner with GP and community care services to enhance integrated care

  • Lead quality improvement, risk management, and medical governance initiatives

  • Represent the medical workforce in executive and system-wide forums

  • Act as a delegate for the EDMS, stepping into decision-making roles as required

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract (up to 76 hours per fortnight) with on-call responsibilities, offered over two years with flexibility on the start date.
