The Position

You’ll be working hospital-based ED shifts with on-call requirements, supporting small regional teams who value clarity, calm decision-making, and capable hands. Mixed presentations, straightforward workflow, and experienced nursing staff make this a smooth fit for doctors who know their way around rural medicine.

Deputy EDMS - Tasmania - Permanent Leadership Role

This is an opportunity to lead with impact—while living in one of Australia’s most liveable regions.

Launceston General Hospital (LGH), Northern Tasmania’s major referral and teaching hospital, is seeking a senior medical leader to join its executive team as Deputy Executive Director of Medical Services (Deputy EDMS). With over 450 beds and a wide-reaching regional footprint, LGH plays a vital role in the health of communities across Tasmania’s North and North-West.

This is a permanent leadership position ideal for a doctor with a strong grounding in clinical governance, medical administration, and a passion for driving change from the inside. You'll work alongside an engaged executive team, enjoy access to research and academic affiliations, and be supported to grow your leadership career while delivering meaningful results for the system and community.

The Position

As Deputy EDMS, you'll play a critical role in shaping the medical workforce and ensuring high clinical standards across the region. You will:

  • Support the Executive Director of Medical Services in delivering strategic and operational leadership across LGH

  • Oversee medical workforce planning, junior doctor recruitment, and credentialing

  • Partner with GP and community care services to enhance integrated care

  • Lead quality improvement, risk management, and medical governance initiatives

  • Represent the medical workforce in executive and system-wide forums

  • Act as a delegate for the EDMS, stepping into decision-making roles as required

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract (up to 76 hours per fortnight) with on-call responsibilities, offered over two years with flexibility on the start date.

Radiology Locum – Albany, WA – Daily rate starting from $3,500

Prescript partners with a respected imaging provider in Albany, Western Australia—the region’s go-to facility for essential diagnostics. They offer a full range of imaging services—X-ray, ultrasound, CT (including CT coronary angiography), MRI, DEXA—and interventional procedures. Reports are typically delivered on the same day, ensuring timely care for regional patients.

The Role

We’re looking for a general or Tier B radiologist to provide:

  • Reporting across: X-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, DEXA

  • Interventional procedures: such as guided biopsies and injections

  • Work setting: Clinic and hospital – no weekends, no after-hours, no on-call

Your role is crucial for maintaining high-quality imaging support and continuity of care across a large regional catchment.

  • The Main Clinic provides comprehensive, community-led care across the lifespan, with a focus on prevention and continuity.

  • The Healthy Start Clinic is a dedicated paediatric service supporting Aboriginal children and families. (This role requires Child Health qualifications and experience.)

Each role offers a structured, supported environment with a collaborative team of nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff. Clinical software is Medical Director.

    • Monday 1st September 2025 – Friday 27th February 2026

    • Minimum commitment: 2 weeks

    • $1,600 per day

Rural Generalist Locums – South Australia (July–October 2025)

$2,400–$2,800/day | 20+ Rural Locations | Concierge-Level Support Included

Looking for a locum that offers more than just a great daily rate? At Prescript, we connect doctors with rural and remote placements where your work truly matters — to patients, communities, and the future of healthcare access.

We’re partnering with RDWA-supported health services across South Australia to place Rural Generalists into high-priority GP + ED locum roles from July through October 2025. Whether you’re procedural or non-procedural, new to locum work or a seasoned rural clinician, this is an opportunity to tailor your schedule, choose your setting, and be backed by concierge-level support from start to finish.

The Position

You’ll provide GP clinic care with ED on-call, supported by local teams and health services that understand the value of visiting doctors. On-call is typically shared (1:3 or 1:4), with some solo ED sites for experienced GPs. Many sites offer procedural opportunities in Anaesthetics and Obstetrics.

Standard block options:
• Sunday 12pm – Saturday 12pm (6 days)
• Monday 8am – Saturday 8am (5 days)

We’ll work with your availability to create a plan that fits.

Bordertown (ED 1:4) – ~3.5 hr drive east, near the VIC border

Jamestown (ED + Obstetrics) – ~2.5 hr scenic drive north
Roxby Downs (ED 1:2) – Fly to Olympic Dam (1.5 hr), short transfer

Week of 24th August
Cummins (ED + supervision) – Fly to Port Lincoln + 45 min drive
Waikerie (ED + Anaesthetics) – ~2.5 hr drive into the Riverland
Clare (ED 1:4) – ~2 hr drive into wine country

Week of 5th October
Crystal Brook (ED + Obstetrics) – ~2.5 hr drive north
Waikerie (ED 1:3) – ~2.5 hr drive

Tumby Bay, Port Broughton, and others are also available—over 20 sites in total. We’ll help match you based on your skills, availability, and preferences.
